Space42 PLC Reports 17.5% Profit Increase Despite Revenue Decline
UAE-based space tech company #Space42 has reported a 17.5% year-on-year rise in its profit attributable to shareholders to $118.8 million for the first nine months of 2024 despite a 7.2% drop in revenue, which totaled $428.5 million. The company's adjusted EBITDA declined by 5.7% to $229.9 million, while operating profit rose 22.7% to $107.5 million. Net finance income increased 18% to $17.9 million. Space42's total comprehensive income grew 3.4% to $103 million. The strong performance was attributed to the successful merger between telecom operator Bayanat and satellite communications firm Yahsat, completed on October 1, 2024. The company’s shares remained steady at 57 cents, with a market cap of $2.7 billion.
